DIY MFA presents: 

We’re Seeing Portals Everywhere!

Tubes, caves, ear canals, trap doors, crystal balls, wormholes, veils, adolescence, hatches, your butt hole. How many ways can you transport to another dimension in the space-time continuum? Can you see how objects, or even you, appear changed or play a different role in any given realm? The artists reflect on how we see and are seen by each other and by toasters and mountains. 

Ryan Rebekah Erev will perform a short performance piece several times throughout the evening and show a group of paintings titled, “The View.”

Rob Thoms will exhibit know-thy-selfie stations and take-away offerings from close-to-heart distant lands. There are many dashes involved.  

The DIY MFA (Do-it-yourself Master of Fine Arts), is a self-directed advanced level of postgraduate study. Rob Thoms and Ryan Rebekah Erev applied for the program and accepted themselves. This is their first year and first mid-semester show.
