The 5780 Moons Calendar is here! Follow the cycle of the moon and the Jewish holidays with brightness and joy!

While working on the calendar an eagle flew right above my head in a circle towards the east, twice, then landed in a cedar tree. Later that day I was riding my bike and a snake slithered right in front of me. My friend Orev Katz commented about the teachings of the animal of the greatest height and the one lowest to the earth. These creatures and their teachings of all that is within the earthly realm from earth to sky, were inspiration for the poster.

The snake with the egg in it’s mouth is a symbol of fertility. The eagle and heart come from two places. One is from Judaism and one from another part of my heritage, Celtic mythology. Both are associated with renewal and freedom. In the torah, when the Jews are in the desert after escaping slavery the divine reminds them that she took them on the wings of the eagle from slavery into freedom. In Celtic mythology the eagle is an animal of intellect and rejuvenates themselves in a secret lake that represents the emotions-blending of intellect and emotions.
