Spell Work and Ritual Creation

I have co-created, done my own, participated in, and facilitated hundreds of rituals and spells over the last twenty plus years. Building a ritual or creating a spell can be simple or multifaceted. Some possible elements include: plants, art, silence, animals, writing, prayer, altar building, song, bibliomancy (intuiting with books), movement and meditation. It can be solo, with a witness or in community. I’m available to consult you and your community on creating and manifesting.

Possible topics include and are not limited to:

  • marrying yourself

  • committing to chosen family

  • releasing unwanted energies or moving on from a person or situation

  • adopting a new (or abandoned) artist identity

  • moving in or out of ability

  • making a dedication to social justice work

  • claiming a gender identity & transitioning gender rituals

  • claiming a disabled identity

  • beginning a new life’s work

  • group contracts around community commitment

  • memorials for pets

  • manifesting sex, love or celibacy

  • re-visioning/reinventing, making Jewish holidays more personally relevant (including orientating towards a Judaism that is not zionist, heteronormative or patriarchal)

  • ancestral reverence

  • land acknowledgement; if you are not Indigenous, honoring the Indigenous people of the land you make home on with language and action and embracing the role of guest, uninvited guest or settler.

  • creating celebrations for diasporic Judaism

  • You name it. Pick my brain; sort through an ethical dilemma; pitch a creative idea and get feedback; receive support articulating your core values; have a cheerleading session where I pour out support for how incredible and wonderful you are.

Facilitation

I officiate and co-create ritual for major life cycle events. Please inquire to set up a meeting or for more information.

Home Blessings

Welcoming a new home,  apartment or land into one's life is a beautiful opportunity. I help bring meaning to this potent transition.

Transitioning Gender Rituals

Bringing ritual to a transition or coming out about gender is an awesome opportunity for support and intention.

Bat and Bar Mitzvah's

Moving from childhood into the teenage years is a special time both for the child and family. I offer custom ritual planning to help families and the bat and bar mitzvah child feel their ceremony is authentic to their experience. I also offer suggestions for Hebrew and Torah portion tutors.

Divorce and Separation Rituals

When relationships shift having an intentional marker of the separation can help facilitate integration.

Mikveh

The mikveh is an ancient practice of ritual immersion into water used as a cleansing. This ritual can be incorporated into many life cycle events. It's a visceral experience potent in symbolism.

Baby Blessings & Naming

A new baby in the world is a gift to the world. I work with families to welcome their new baby with celebration and beauty.

Transitioning In or Out of Illness or Ability

Whether entering or ending an illness or change in ability; having a ritual to mark the change can bring support and integration to friends, family and most importantly the individual embarking on the change.

Funerals

Death can  often be a difficult time. I offer guidance and facilitation of ritual, including the facilitation of a funeral or memorial, to bring comfort and steady support .

Weddings and Commitment Ceremonies

I am now accepting clients for wedding officiating in 2022/2023.

I created the DIY Wedding Officiant Course, which is an amazing and accessible resource for anyone looking for support and guidance in the process of creating your ceremony.

All rituals and ceremonies are priced and created collaboratively on a case-by-case basis.
